Know How to Clean Wallpaper

It may look very tiring, but cleaning wallpapers is as simple as installing them. Normally we do not think of cleaning wallpapers until here is a mark or one of the kid from the family has tried becoming Picaso. And so normally wallpapers are cleaned on occasions.
It entirely depends on the condition of the wallpaper, cleaning might require dusting and stain removal. This can be done easily, with right material and correct method.
Let’s see how.

What’s your type?

First of all figure out what kind of wallpaper you have on your walls. It is easy to clean Vinyl wallpapers. Plain uncoated wallpapers must not get wet.

You can smooth scrub the Vinyl wallpaper but yes choose a soft sponge. Uncoated wallpapers shall be cleaned with dry cloth or sponge.

Correct material is a must

You can clean the wallpapers with mild detergent. Just add a spoon full of a mild detergent, (choose a liquid detergent), in a lukewarm bucket of water. Dip a soft sponge or clean cloth into this mixture, rinse out the excess water and then start cleaning the wall papers. You can rub a little on the stains or marks if you see any. A soft circular motion will do magic for your wallpapers. Do not overdo it. Do not use excess soap or detergent, just a small amount will do the needful.

Dry your wallpaper

Now for this, you need a second bucket of clean water. Dip the sponge or cloth in this and then wipe the wallpaper softly. This will remove the dirt and soap from the surface of the wallpaper. Making it look super clean and fresh. Do not use too much water. Rinse the sponge tightly removing all excess water from it.

Dusting

For this you can use vacuum cleaner or even a soft broom. Slowly and softly you can wipe the dust from the surface of the wallpaper easily with a broom or vacuum cleaner.

Remove crayon marks

You can simply scrape off the colour from the surface of the wallpaper. Now place a paper tissue on the stain and place an iron, set on the lowest heat over it. Wait for a minute and see the crayon colour seeping into the tissue.

It is easy, it is simple and you can do it yourself. For more details log in to ultrawalls.com
